| The mission of the Church is to witness to the good news of God's redeeming love as revealed in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ; to hold out a continuing summons to the worship and service of God; to maintain and extend a fellowship in which persons led by the Holy Spirit may respond in faith to his transforming power; to help persons, both as individuals and in society, to develop such attitudes and relationships with God and one another as will lead to an increasing Christian witness through Christian life and service to human need, and to pray in word and deed: "Thy kingdom come." |
