
Minister Virgil Taylor
Virgil Taylor is a Christ-Centered Records recording artist and one of Maryland's many prolific (anointed) talents. Mr. Taylor's unusual anointing is in variety, songwriter, recording artist, as well as Minister of the Gospel. Not only is his music well balanced, direct and dated, but well rounded to meet the spiritual needs. This family man attends the Transformation Church of Jesus Christ a.k.a First United in Baltimore, MD under the very fine leadership of Bishop Monroe Saunders, Jr. It has been expressed to Mr. Taylor by listening audiences that his ministry in song has been a blessing to them.
Mr. Taylor accepted the calling on his life to minister God’s word in song in December 1988. As a result of this his main objective is to spread the Gospel in song to a confused and dying world. Mr. Taylor is a member of the Gospel Music Association (GMA), Washington Area Music Association and a voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (the Grammy’s) in which he served as 2nd vice president from 5/2001-5/2002 and secretary/Treasure (5/2003-5/2004) on the Washington D.C. chapter board of Governors. Mr. Taylor, President/CEO of Eagle M Entertainment Inc. T/A CCR name was placed into the Millennium edition of the “National Register’s Who’s Who in Executives and Professionals”. He has ministered in prisons, coffee houses, churches and Christian/Gospel Television programs across the country. Mr. Taylor has worked with such artists as Daniel Winans and has shared the same stage with Luther Barnes, Al Denson, T-Bone, Salvador, Nancy Jackson, Mel Holder, John Butler, Lamar Campbell and other major artists in the recording industry. Mr. Taylor’s first album, “Lord Don’t Stop Working With Me” was heard across the country and in the Caribbean Islands where it received a great response. Mr. Taylor’s second album “I Know You For Myself” on KSP records was also well received by the radio audience.
Mr. Taylor’s latest released CD, “Lord, I Love You,” on
Christ-Centered Records, continues to express his earnest desire to lift
the Lord up in song. This album is taking Mr. Taylor’s ministry to
a higher level in the Gospel recording industry. It has been well received
by the Christian radio audience. In light of this Gospel Today Magazine
(Sept./Oct. 98 issue) reported that the album made their top 40 chart.
Mr. Taylor’s latest released video, featuring the title cut, “Lord
I Love You,” has been aired on national Gospel/Christian video shows
such as, Bobby Jones BET Gospel Video, TBN’S Real Video’s,
Praise Television network, Light Music Cornerstone TV and many more. In
November of 98, 99 & 2000 Mr. Taylor was nominated for a Wammie by
the Washington Area Music Association in the category of best Gospel/Inspirational
male vocalist. Also, included in the nominations were great artists such
as Richard Smallwood, William Becton, John Butler and John Studart. Mr.
Taylor is also the international host of the first and only “Online
Christian Music Television Show” of it’s kind, the Virgil Taylor’s
Music Machine on www.christcenteredrecords.com. Mr. Taylor is the President
of CCRBN.COM which allows ministries to broadcast their services to the
world via the
internet.Mr.Taylor is one of the first Gospel announcers on the new XM
Satallite Radio channel 33 the "Spirit".
